スウェーデン系フィンランド人の文学トーク＆合唱コンサート！

フィンランドセンターでは、11月7日（金）Hallå Tokyo!（スウェーデン系フィンランド人文化ウィーク）の最終日に、文学と音楽を融合させたイベントを横浜の象の鼻テラスで開催します。
フィンランドにおけるスウェーデン語文学を日本の皆様に紹介するため、スウェーデン系フィンランド人文学協会（Society of Swedish Literature in Finland (SLS)）からイェンス・グランデル氏とクリスタ・ルンドストロム氏が登壇し、文学協会の活動とムーミンの作者で愛されるトーベ・ヤンソンの資料保存・デジタル化プロジェクトについてご紹介します。さらに、夜には、147年の歴史を誇るスウェーデン系フィンランド人の男性合唱団ムントラ・ムジカンターが登場し、美しく力強いハーモニーを横浜に響かせます。

Hallå Tokyo! – Literature Talk & Choir Concert
On Friday, November 7th, as the grand finale of Hallå Tokyo! (the Finnish-Swedish Cultural Week), the Finnish Institute in Japan will host a special event that combines literature and music at Zou-no-hana Terrace in Yokohama.
To introduce Finnish-Swedish literature from Finland to Japanese audiences, Jens Grandell and Christa Lundström from the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland (SLS) will give a talk about their activities and their project to preserve and digitize materials by Tove Jansson, the beloved author of the Moomin series.
In the evening, the Finnish-Swedish male choir Muntra Musikanter, with its proud 147-year history, will take the stage and fill Yokohama with their powerful and beautiful harmonies.

アーティストプロフィール

イェンス・グランデル（Jens Grandell）
歴史学者で、19世紀の思想史に関する伝記的論文で博士号を取得。スウェーデン系フィンランド人文学協会（Society of Swedish Literature in Finland(SLS)）のデジタル編集者として、デジタル出版に豊富な経験を持ち、トーベ・ヤンソン・プロジェクトを担当。

Jens Grandell is a historian and holds a doctorate with a biographical thesis on the history of ideas in the 19th century. As digital editor at the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland, he has extensive experience of digital publishing and is responsible for the Tove Jansson project.

クリスタ・ルンドストロム（Christa Lundström）
文学研究者で、スウェーデン系フィンランド人文学や児童・ヤングアダルト文学を専門とする。トーベ・ヤンソン・プロジェクトの編集者として活動している。

Christa Lundström is a literary scholar and critic specialising in Finnish-Swedish literature and children’s and young adult literature. She works as an editor on the Tove Jansson Project.

ムントラ・ムジカンター（Muntra Musikanter）(英語では Merry Musicians;陽気な音楽家たち／以下 MM)
長い歴史を持つフィンランドで2番目に古い男声合唱団である。
MMは、フィンランドで最も古い合唱団であるアカデミア男声合唱団（Akademiska Sangforeningen）から脱退したエリート・グループとしてスタートし、当初は PC (Petersburgs Concerten）と名付けられた。PCはその後も存続し、同じ年の後半にSangarkoren MMと名乗った。
MMとは Muntra Musikanter の路で、合唱団のお気に入りの曲、ドイツの Die lustigen Musikanten（日本語訳：陽気な音楽家たち）のスウェーデン語訳である。この歌は現在、合唱団の名誉歌である。
1897年、名称は再び変更され、今度はSallskapet MM （MM 協会）となった。しかし、ムントラ・ムジカンター(Muntra Musikanter)が合唱団の口語名として残っており、現在もその名が使用されている。
2019年、MMは歌曲コンテスト「コーンウォール国際男声合唱コンクール（イギリス）」に参加し、40人以上の合唱団のクラスで金メダルを獲得。
2021年以降、合唱団の指揮はリク・ラウリッカが務めている。
2022年のスプリング・コンサートは、合唱の域を越えるものとなった。MMは初めてダンス・アンサンブルと共演し、コンサート中に歌われる曲のために新しい振り付けを創作したのだ。
2023年には、145周年記念行事の一環としてウェールズを訪問した。MMは実にエネルギッシュで生き生きとした合唱団である！
1997年の『Summer with MM』、1998年の『Christmas with MM』、2003年の『125 years with MM』、2012年のルチア合唱団との『Tanda lius』等これまでに 10枚のレコードをリリース。最新アルバム『Prime』は2020年にSpotifyでリリースされた。MMが完全なデジタル配信チャンネルでレコードをリリースするのはこれが初めてである。同時にMMは全曲のミュージックビデオを制作し、Youtubeで公開している。

Sällskapet MM rf or Muntra Musikanter – in English Merry Musicians – is a male choir with a long history that has experienced a substantial part of the Finnish music life. MM is Finland’s second oldest choir and despite the respectable age the choir is in good shape and energetic with several exciting projects on-going. In 2019 the choir participated in the song contest Cornwall International Male Choral Festival and won a gold medal in the class for choirs with over 40 singers. In 2020 MM released its newest record, “Prime” on Spotify. This is the first time MM has released a record in a totally digital distribution channel. At the same time MM has made music videos of all songs and published them on Youtube.
